Heidelberg Asia Pacific Packaging Day 2019

Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) Asia-Pacific held a Packaging Days at the Shanghai Factory themed, “Smart Production. Wide Opportunity ”on September 10, 2019. More than one hundred visitors from Asia-Pacific attended the event at the Shanghai Shanghai Print Media Center (PMC). The visitors looked enthusiastic at the Heidelberg integrated solution demo. Prinect’s Workflow is the basis of the “Smart Print Shop” and the beginning of all the day’s presentations. Packaging printing was very impressed with Heidelberg’s fully integrated Smart Packaging Workflow. The demonstration begins with the box design in 3D format, with various finishing effect simulations, then made a sample of cardboard printing using the Versafire digital printing machine. “With the help of Prinect’s workflow solutions, we help print packaging produce faster, smarter and more productive than ever before,” said Brian Kow, Asia-Pacific’s Prinect Business Development Manager.

With the new configuration of Speedmaster CD 102-8 + L UV, Push-to-Stop / navigational printing is shown for the first time at the Shanghai factory. Navigating print makes it easy for machine operators from initially complicated jobs to turn it into print jobs that are done automatically through the Intelliguide software at the Prinect Press Center XL 2 and Wallscreen. Douglas Mooney, who is in charge of the Heidelberg Asia-Pacific sheetfed business development said, “This time, we raised the advantages of CD 102 flexibility with special applications such as in-line embossing effects, UV drip-off / coating and multi-color schemes by producing two work at once, brown boxes and pharmaceutical boxes.”

The following day, the audience had the opportunity to visit the Open House at the Masterwork (MK) factory in Tianjin, take a tour around the factory and watch the presentation of the Powermatrix 106 CSB which was equipped with MasterSet, Powermatrix 106 FC equipped with MasterDrive, Diana Easy 85 equipped with Diana Inspector, Digimatrix 60 FC and Laser Cut 340.
