Konica Minolta Business Solutions, Ltd. (Konica Minolta), one of the leaders in digital industrial and commercial printing and packaging solutions, has announced the launch of their latest series, the AccurioPress C14000. The launch event was held in Dallas, Texas at the end of October 2019.
AccurioPress C14000 with a print speed of 140 ppm (paper per minute) and AccurioPress C12000 with 120 ppm are designed for industrial-scale printing. Both portfolios demonstrate Konica Minolta’s mission to support the transformation of its clients from beginner to middle to upper level. This digital technology creates joint solutions to expand business scope at once and streamline conventional workflows through sophisticated automation, fewer HR requirements aligned with higher productivity with tangible effects leading to improved, high quality with less waste.

The unique features of AccurioPress C14000 series make this product ideal for customers who want to increase productivity through efficiency and speed to grow their business. With a resolution equivalent to 3600 x 2400 dpi and enhanced media capabilities up to 450 gsm, these two new products offer amazing speed with exceptional image quality and unmatched media flexibility. Duplex banner printing up to 35 “(which began to be available after launch, i.e. at Drupa 2020) and long area print capacity of up to 51”, combined with envelopes and embossing media capabilities provide an opportunity for customers to offer new print order types, such as gatefold brochures 4 panels and book covers. To further improve efficiency and yield, envelope printing can be done using a standard fuser. Finally, the new technology used in printing machines dramatically improves image quality in textured paper stock.
Operational efficiency
Paired with the IQ-501 Intelligent Quality Optimizer, the upgraded Konica Minolta, the new printing press automatically and continuously measures and corrects colors so that the first print run matches the last. Two-dimensional registration correction has also been improved through higher output resolutions. Automatic media detection sensors are standard on this model, detect stocks and set trays accordingly, eliminate paper settings that take time and operator errors, reduce waste and increase productivity.
New accessories for this machine, including an in-line automatic cutting unit, TU-510 Versatile Trimmer Unit, four-edge trimmer and creaser that allows full finishing support for printing banners, booklets, direct mail and special business card cutting. In addition, the LS-507 Large Stacker supports higher speeds, allows banner bypasses and offers benefits to the operator while work is running, other benefits that Konica Minolta adds to this machine are easy color management and job management utilities available with Konica’s controllers Minolta Adjustable operational screens make the product very easy to operate. There are 2 controller options from third parties, namely the latest release of Fiery and Creo.
Stability, High Durability and Reducing Downtime
Enhanced automatic inspection options from the previous series, IQ-501 Intelligent Quality Optimizer offers expanded inspection performance, verifies print quality and is able to detect lines and spots and stains. High-quality printing means maximum stability even during long-term work, while better print register quality increases the total printable work volume. The new printing machine offers a very reliable duty cycle, 2.5 million pcs, up from 1.8 million with the AccurioPress C6100, with double the toner capacity of the previous model.
